Welcome to Active Mind's Preschool!

Active Minds Preschool focuses on teaching 3 and 4-year olds the skills they need to start kindergarten, including letter recognition and sounds, writing, shapes, colors, numbers, social skills, music, science, fun and much, much more! We have a lot of hands on learning and crafts to help cement the concepts being taught. Children will learn social skills and get one-on-one attention in a small classroom setting of only six children.

Schedule

Active Minds Preschool follows the Meridian School District calendar and has the same holidays and days off.  The daily schedule for preschool is as follows:

Classes are offered:
Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 am-11:30 am or

Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am-11:30 am

A typical day of preschool will consist of the following:
9:00-9:30: Welcome, manipulatives (play dough, puzzles, drawing, building), Pledge of Allegiance, Weather and Calendar.
9:35-9:50: Circle Time (review of letters, introduction of themes, songs, books etc.)
9:50-10:00-letter building and writing
10:00-10:15-activity to go with letter
10:15-10:30-activity to go with theme
10:30-10:45-snack
10:45-11:00-free play
11:00-11:15-color, shape or number theme
11:15-11:30-continue working on unfinished projects, clean up books and get ready to go home.

Times and activities may change for special projects and themes.  For holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter we have special parties and themes.  Each child's birthday is also celebrated.
